eSIM Thailand - From $3.36

Both big networks sell one: AIS, and True, which merged with dtac in March 2023. The smaller third network is NT, sold as my by NT. A Thai tourist SIM is registered to your passport and, under NBTC rules published in August 2025, is valid for 60 days at most; to keep it longer you verify your passport again, as a top-up alone does not extend it. Foreigners may register up to three SIMs per operator. The Bitcall eSIM needs no registration: you install it before you travel, with no passport and no shop.

One that works as soon as you land, with no ID and no forms: the Bitcall Thailand eSIM. It connects to AIS and True (dtac). Plans start at $3.36 for 1 GB over 7 days. Unlimited data starts at $8.16 for 3 days. The Bitcall eSIM needs no passport. You buy it online with just an email address, and every plan includes 5G and hotspot.

The Thailand eSIM uses the AIS and True (dtac) networks. Each plan's details list the networks it uses.

Activation is instant: you get the QR code by email and in your Bitcall dashboard right after purchase. Scan it on Wi-Fi before you travel, then turn the eSIM on when you arrive. On 14 plans, validity starts when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination. On one plan, validity starts when you install the eSIM. Each plan's details show when its validity starts.

Yes. Hotspot (tethering) is included in all 15 plans, and data used by connected devices counts toward your plan.

Yes. On a dual-SIM phone your own SIM stays active next to the eSIM, at your carrier's roaming rates. The Thailand eSIM plans are data-only and do not include a phone number. WhatsApp, FaceTime and other calling apps work over any plan's data. To call Thailand numbers from anywhere, see Thailand calling rates and country code.
